Carlos R. Carriedo was born and raised in San Diego, Calif. He attended local schools including St. Augustine High School in North Park. As a youth he played competitive tennis winning an athletic scholarship to the University of Notre Dame. There he captained the tennis team for two years and graduated with a B.A. in 1969. He subsequently attended Boalt Hall School of Law earning a J.D. in 1972. Initially he worked for the Federal Office of Civil Rights in San Francisco before returning to the San Diego area in 1973 to work as a public defender in San Diego County. In 1975 he opened a private law practice in both San Diego and Imperial Counties.
Attorney Carriedo has run a successful private practice for more than 30 years with his main focus representing injured workers. He has extensive trial experience including criminal and civil jury trials, civil court trials and administrative law trials. He is highly regarded by his peers. Martindale Hubbell a peer review rating service awarded Mr. Carriedo the rating of BV Distinguished, a rating given to individuals with a very high rating in both legal and ethical standards. He is a member of the California Applicants Attorney Association and the San Diego County Bar Association.
